• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today is the day

PW2013STL, I hope you got out today with your new 2014 RT L....nice day to do it!:yes::yes:

My wife and I went for our first ryde on our 2014 RT L today and it was great....we did have to keep it a short ryde due to a dinner we had planned. Only got in about 36 miles, but enjoyed every one of them.....very smooth....love it! :D:D:D

Glad you were able to put some miles on yours:yes:

We got out for a short ride. I had to talk my wife into it as she was in a cleaning frame of mine. I told her I wanted to find out how she liked it. Once she got rolling she put on more miles than planned as she drove by our house and added another 20 miles onto her ride. Found out that I will need to get a shorter windshield as the stock one falls at her line of sight at the lowest setting. May go with the F4 sport shield with vent.

My Spyder is now up on the lift half torn down for adding my farkels.
What LED lights did you add to your mirrors? I will be adding that as well as a mud flap so I want to order them tomorrow.

You can use about any LED's you want....LED's I used on my 2014 RT L were from EBay (only issue with these is that they had two wires on both ends - I clipped them off one end and sealed). Orange LED's: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171126317246?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
I would try to find ones with leads (wires) on just one end......

Turn signals flashed quickly, used a resister to prevent this (330 ohm, 1/2 watt resistor - bought mine at radio shack (http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2062319) on each turn signal.

Also, recalibrate the flasher/turn signal system with the following procedure (the 2014 must be set-up differently than my 2012 RT L) with these simple steps:
(NOTE: I did this step after I was done installing the resistor...might be worth just adding the LED's and then use this recalibration procedure -- you may NOT need to add the resistors!) Worked for me with resistors already installed.
1. Turn key on
2. Press and hold the hazard button for 30 seconds
3. The cluster lights will flash confirming the calibration has been successful."

These LED's I used on my 2012 RT L and only had wires on one end which I liked (red LED's): http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-x-30cm-15...513699?pt=US_Car_Lighting&hash=item484a23ece3

Worked well, no resistor or recalibration required - worked first time and no problems for the entire time I owned the bike.
