• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

To HOT to Ryde

2Gunns

RT-S PE#0032
I have the will but not the fortitude..... It has hit the 100 deg. mark twice this week and expected to continue for awhile (with Humitity close behind).

The RT is just to hot to ryde....it performs flawlessly in the heat, it's me that needs relief. I need air flow (a vent in the windshield), a way to deflect the hot air away from my right foot and my crotch (from under the seat). The wife needs a solution for the passanger's right foot as well.

What have you guys done for these issues?

We have a dry heat down here in Southern Arizona. I usually go out riding just before sunrise when it's about 86 degrees. If I have to ride in the middle of the day when it's pushing 105-110 degrees, I string a little squirt bottle around my neck and spray myself in the face when needed (at stops and crack my helmet visor a bit to get greater airflow). I also have the LD Comfort undergarments. You soak it in water and wear it damp so as you ride the air cools you down. It really works for short rides. Go to their website and check it out. It stays damp on outside and dry on the inside.

When riding in the early AM, I noticed there's no right foot and crotch area blowtorch sensation from the heat of the Spyder, but during the 100+ temp riding it's unbearable!
Hope this helps a little!

I will have to look into the LD Comfort wear, wonder if it still works in High Humitity areas? We have a plant in Sahuarita. AZ (plus have done some work in Snowflake) so I know what you mean about differant type of heat...but what a view!

We are having rain and hail day after day. My friends say it is my fault as I got a new toy for the summer.:roflblack::ani29:

keep cool

John,
I wore my LD undershorts for the first time on the Meet & Greet ride today and I was much more comfortable than with regular tidy whity briefs.
Still a little sweaty when we got home, but much more comfortable for me.
