• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

To cover or not to cover...

We have both full and half covers, however I only take the half cover on trips now because of space saving concerns.
With 2 years worth of experience now, I must admit to being disappointed with the half cover we have (Ultragard) when it comes to keeping things dry. Light rain, morning dew, and marine layer overnight has always left the spyder seats with wetness to be wiped off before riding. Not saying it is a BIG issue, but to me it is definitely NOT a 100% waterproof cover as advertised....if that is what you wanted or expect. Just reporting my experience.
I have to say that with the BRP travel covers we have for both spyders, this has not been a problem. Seat stays nice and dry even on our trip through Canada where it rained some every day we were there. To the OP, covers are a must, if yiu are going to be out overnight, especially to keep people off your Spyder!

I’m Different

I’ve owned an RS, an RTS and currently have an F3L. In all my travels totaling over 75K Spyder miles, I’ve never covered any of them. A rain cover on the seat is it. In my opinion, a cover is just something else to carry, put on, take off, pack and unpack. As simple as it may be, to me they are just a hassle I choose not partake in.
