There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To Alaska and Back...

Joy,
What a great trip. I am enjoying all the pictures and your experiences. That is the way to live life, just head out and see what is in store. I can't wait until Brian and I can do this kind of trip, I know we would love it.

Beautiful, love the blue skies

Down south in the summer time, the sky is a pale blue. Its a real treat to be in such an intense blue sky. :)

We did have an itinerary but it got tossed out the window because of the weather. It is much more fun without a plan. We get to where we get to, then decide where to go next.

One of these years y'all will do one. Your Ironbutt ride was awesome! Don't think I could have kept up with you two. nojoke

Today was our last down day. Hubby's back from visiting family, the laundry is done and we're all set to take off again tomorrow.

Took a little putz today and found this.

Those aren't clouds sitting on the mountains. Thats the snow on the Cascade Range. We're crossing them tomorrow.

Oh boy. That's going to be exciting!!! Can't wait to read about your crossing!!!

It was after the crossing that it got knarly.

 Have fun and ride safe.

Thanks! Any time I'm on Spydee, its a good time!:2thumbs:

:yikes::popcorn:

:doorag::ohyea:

Plug in those undies!

Oh man, the electric underwear was dialed all the way up. :2thumbs:
There is no such thing as bad weather. Just dressing wrong for the climate.... Billy Connelly

Eastern to Western Washington - Crossing the Cascades

We headed out of Ellensburg heading up into the Cascades via Stevens Pass.

Headed up Wanachee Canyon...

Heading into Leavenworth, pear orchards everywhere!

Leavenworth is a tidy Bavarian town.

Stevens Pass.

picture.php

Its a popular skiing spot.

As we came down the mountain, first the invisible rain, then rain. Not the gulley washers we get down south, just enough to make visibility poor. Dealt with rain and 42 degree temps for about a hundred miles. Singing praises to electric underwear!

We're holed up in Bellingham till the ferry leaves on Friday the Thirteenth.

Keep it coming Joy, I am enjoying your adventure and living vicariously through you. What great scenery and riding you are getting to experience. Continue to have fun and ride safe.

If your willing to putz down the road with us, you're more than welcome to ride along. Don't think we can put the hours in the saddle that you do though.

Didn't think about saving this as a journal. Just wanted friends and family to follow us on the trip and know we hadn't been eaten by bears. nojoke

Oh man, Stevens Pass must have awesome skiing! From where we were, could see a slope that had to be at least a black diamond! The resort wasn't open, but there was still snow on the slopes. Very beautiful area. :)

We really enjoyed our meet'n'greet'n'eat with all of you! Our pic didn't turn out very well, hope yours is better! And make sure Jeff keeps an eye on his rear tire!! And no gambling on the ferry!:joke:

Brad and Pat

Bellingham, Washington

We had a day to burn before getting on the ferry. It was a beautiful day, so we explored Bellingham.

This is out the back of our hotel.

Its a larger town than it feels because of all the hills and forests.

picture.php

The old Down Town has saved most of the old buildings and its now full of neat shops and restaurants.

picture.php

A view from the harbor area.

Had dinner with fellow SpyderLovers at the Hill Top Restaurant. Highly recommend the salmon!

Starting from the back, Sam (can-am sam) And Celeste Hillde, Me and Hubby (Jeff), Brad (Draboo) and Pat Nicholson. Its so neat that people who have never met each other can hit it off so well. We are all friends we know well, but haven't met yet. That is the magic of SpyderLovers.

Just want to add that Hubby is the photographer on this road trip. Think he's doing a great job!

Sleeping Accommodations on Ferry - Room or Tent?

Glad to hear you are enjoying some good weather.

The Photographer continues to do a GREAT job! Looking forward to the pics from the Ferry. :2thumbs:

This part of the journey should give you both a chance to stretch your legs. :ohyea:

Thanks

Thank You for sharing this ride with all of us. Many of us have a dream to make a ride like ya'll are doing!
