• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Tires

I am your friend and brother of the highway. That said

after 841 posts on this site and you don't know 2 bazillion words have been spent (and archived)
on this subject. :banghead:

Pam, Thanks

I am very happy with the GENERAL ALTIMAX RT 43 tire on my rear of my Spyder. Here is a picture of the tire tread:

Deanna,
Are those pictures of your General rt43? The pictures look like the stock Kenda tire with the same crappy center tire wear!

Either way -- still about 3,000 miles left..

Here in the arid west...still got a few miles left 'til they get to be slicks.. YMMV..and your comfort level and riding conditions. HAHA

Just had to join in on a tire tread... don't ya love it!

I have "Deleted" the other tire pictures on this thread, and posted pictures of my General Altimax RT43 Rear tire. Look at post # 30

Sorry, for the confusion.

size\ warranty?

I actually don't mind tire threads that much, just wish that people would search before posting the same question that's been asked and answered so many times.

To the OP, I just had a General Altimax RT43 delivered, which I will be installing on my rear (the Spyder, not my ass) next week. This tire came highly recommended by Mike (Blueknight911) and his girlfriend Deanna. Deanna currently uses the tire, and Mike is very knowledgeable about the technical aspects of it. I hold both of their opinions in high regard.

what size did you get? on my 2nd Michelin had a hydroedge and now a defender got about 20 so far on both of them. but the general looks pretty good. Wonder if discount will warrant my Michelin if I take them the tire on the rim instead of showing them on the bike?

Kumho tire.

I replaced my stock rear tire with a Kumho tire. I can say it is not as sticky as the Kenda. I notice it in the rain when taking off a little to fast.. But other than that I like it. Best of luck.

No...es una mezcla de bulldog Ingles y salchicha...son hermano y hermana tienen unos 8 meses. Son de mi hija que vive en Pennsylvania. ..

tires

need tires on my 2014 RT
what do you all recommend

I have a Kumho on the rear, which many folks use on the Spyder, and the fronts I may go with Bridgestone here soon.. And for those who are tired of this Question, simply dont reply.. Your wisecracks and lack of any intelligent answers is not good for our 1st time Spyder folks.. So without something USEFUL to say, say NOTHING:lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie:

Seriously. Try the "Search" button, and see how many threads pop up. You'll have weeks worth of reading.nojoke

This short video will sum up a search for tires or illustrate what happens to tire topics on SpyderLovers. Actually it even happens on the FB groups also.

Be careful, this could be how you end up...then again closed eyes is not good either.

My take. Have a question, ask it. Sometimes its easier to hear what the group has to say. There are always those that suggest checking the archives...but...seriously, that is not as fun when you can have interaction with your friends on line. :dontknow: :roflblack::roflblack:
