• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seriously. Try the "Search" button, and see how many threads pop up. You'll have weeks worth of reading.nojoke

But I run a Kumho Ecsta AST out back!

As much as the "Old Guard" in here might be "tired of tires"; you have to remember that there are always new folks joining. They haven't had access to this information yet.

What..!!

:yikes: there are two tires made specially for the spyder, many car tires that fit and thousands of opinions. I have had good luck with the oem tires and will stick with them. Now your welcome to open a search on tires and take a month off to read up on them,,,:roflblack:

Aarrrrrrrrrr!
:gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah: Check with your dealer or a tire dealer, someone who knows what there talking about. Too many diverse opinions here!

Another chance to answer a question that not everyone knows the answer to. I will try to be helpful to everyone. :roflblack:

My dealer refuses to put any tire on but the OEM recommended tires. So, I am stuck.

With the exception of the soft compound in 2014, my tires are doing well again. The replacement rear tire now has almost 15K miles on it. My "usual." The fronts have 20K on them, also my "usual."

I plan on replacing all three sometime this summer. Yes, they will be OEM.

....WOW... Ms Pampurrs , YOU have asked this question so many times I've lost count :lecturef_smilie: :roflblack: :roflblack:........Mike

You lost count after one?? That's pretty sad. I've only asked once and that was just verify the size.

 She must have been channeling Jack's spirit! :D

I actually don't mind tire threads that much, just wish that people would search before posting the same question that's been asked and answered so many times.

To the OP, I just had a General Altimax RT43 delivered, which I will be installing on my rear (the Spyder, not my ass) next week. This tire came highly recommended by Mike (Blueknight911) and his girlfriend Deanna. Deanna currently uses the tire, and Mike is very knowledgeable about the technical aspects of it. I hold both of their opinions in high regard.
