• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tires

tires

Is $94.00 a tire for Kendra radials plus $30.00 to mount and balance a good or not.
If you have no other option ( ie. get them or someone else to mount a Car tire ) then that's what you have to do ..... For the Kenda's Don't let them sell you OLD stock .....BRP had them re-designed and newer version is the one you want ...... But you fail to say whether this is a REAR tire or not ...it makes a big difference ...... Mike

BRP retails those tires for around $150...:hun:
So to answer your question: Yes: it is a good price for that tire.
(If that's what you want to use...)

Theses are the newer ones. They had just got them in. The tires are front tires at 94.00 each.

Just because "they" just got them in doesn't mean they are a fresh tire. How long did they lay in a warehouse somewhere? Look at the date codes on the tires. I wouldn't go any older than two years and wouldn't be to happy with that. This is what you are looking for.

Thanks for all the info. I'll do some more investigation and research on this. What kind of car tires does others have good luck with? Inquiring minds want to know.

Since you asked because you have 14 in. front wheels the Vredestein Quatrac 5 in 165/65- R14 could be the best choice based on Tire Rack testing ...... for the rear the General Altimax RT43 ( the "T" version ) in 215/60-15 ...or the new Michelin Defender ( T & H model ) 205/60-15 ...both are excellent ...... Check that date

As others said New tires come with near expiration dates. Was changing a friends motorcycle tires and he stated they were only 2 years old. By the date code the dealer has sold him them just 2 weeks before they expired. In Illinois at least you can not sell a tire new or not after it is 5 years old.

Also as other say if you can get any other tire and get it mounted use it. (I can't do the spyder ones) and my dealer will like many will only use the Kenda's.

Look up Mike and Peter they have much research and tire facts.

In my opinion $1 is too much for a Kenda, but $94 sounds reasonable

You obviously travel many miles yearly so can I ask which brand tire, and what size would you recommend to used on a 2014 RTL (front wheels) Original Kendra 165/55R15 has 17K miles and starting see wear.
