• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My rear OEM tire needs to be replaced ( 12k miles ) and I going to replace all three. I was wondering if anyone has done this configuration and if they had any problems.
* FRONT 185-60-R14
* REAR 215-60-R15

The 185s on front will require spacer under the fender to raise it some above the bracket about 3/8 hard plastic is what I used

TIRE SPACERS

I recently mounted the same size front tires you can put spacers if you want but not necessary...the tire and fender are static the space between them doesn;t change....But I would definately remove the mudflap from the fender before taking the wheel off. If you don't you will wish you had....mike.......the 215/60 -15 will work also and give you very very very slightly better mileage because it will effectively change the gear ratio slighly.......:thumbup:

My question is how does the rear tire work on wet roads, also what make of tires are they? Does it matter if its an RT our RS?

185 60 14 & 215 60 15 combination

My rear OEM tire needs to be replaced ( 12k miles ) and I going to replace all three. I was wondering if anyone has done this configuration and if they had any problems.
* FRONT 185-60-R14
* REAR 215-60-R15

Thats exactly what I now have

185 60 14 Falken Zeix ze 912 H rated (130 mph)
215 60 15 Michelin Hydroedge T rated (118 mph) I never get anywhere close to that

Almost 1500 miles now and no issues whatsoever .Speedo now matches GPS speed ,driven on highway, country roads, bumpy roads and in one heck of a rain storm. To me it seems to be a good combination ,very quiet and extremely good in rain.

You will need to shim the front fenders and probably snuggle up the rear shock , because riding two up and hitting a big bump , the rear tire touched the inner panel once.

Put ride-on in the tires for the first time and got to say that it appears to be very good.

I'm experimenting with different tire pressures right now , but with our bumpy roads 18 front and 28 rear seems to work with me.

Hope it helps

QUESTIONS

JohnyG you're questions are somewhat hard to answer based on the little info given in the question....or the answer is going to be so long you will forget where it started...???? .....Mike......RT or RS that doesn't really matter IMHO.....

At about 12K I chose a 205/60-15 T General Altimax RT. According to GPS, the speedo runs exactly 1 mile faster at all speeds. My plan is to use the same brand on the front when the time comes. .
