• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tire Balancing

I took my rim and new tire (ALTIMAX RT43, purchased from Walmart) to Walmart so they can mount it on but they are telling me they are not able to balance the new tire due to their machine won’t fit the rim. Not sure what to do now. Should I put tire balancing beads in it?

Most tires these days are pretty close and don't really need it. In my shop I use the old fashioned static balance.

My tire installer put Liquid Balance in mine. They use it in pickup and truck tires.

You could put the axle through the wheel add put it between 2 jack stands. If it’s out of balance get some stick on weights.

If you know anyone that has a bubble balancer. They work really well. My nephew uses one on most bike tires he mounts for people at his garage. Just lay the wheel on top and watch where the bubble is then add weight according to where it needs more or less weights added to center the bubble. Kinda works like a level that you would use to plum a wall or shelf.
