There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Tire Air Pressure

Proper air pressure

I've only had my RT-S for 300 miles and was unsure of the handeling----yes I know riding a motorcycle for the last 55 years might have had a bit to do with the "strange " handeling in the corners:dontknow:. so-- I put on the heavyer anti-sway bar. It helped ---but reading the owners manual again ( and again) I realized that I had not checked the tire pressure when the bike was delivered to me. :lecturef_smilie:

So when I checked the pressure this evening----about 12 psi on the fronts and 23psi on the back. So assuming that the stealership will deliver a very expensive vehical with the correct tire pressure has reaffermed what assume means ( ass of u and me)

Michaels Motorsports of Reno will be getting an ear full tomrrow!!!

Once you get the air pressure to where it should be you should find a lot of improvement. What are you setting the pressure at on your Spyder? My dealer said 20 in front and 25 in rear, although I am going to elevate the rear to around 28, per input from this great forum. That is, once I get a way to correctly check the rear air pressure. Good luck with that new ride. They're great!!

Look on the left rear tire swing arm. There is a sticker there that tells you the tire pressure ranges.

I am running 19.5 front and 28 rear. BUT my rear tire is now a Yokohama S drive.

Double headed....

I have never had a problem when using a double headed truck style chuck. You can air up from either side of the rim.

My 2014 tool kit has a digital tire gauge in it. It's a slim form factor and fits the opening required to check the rear tire pressure.

Wow, they were missing in 2013 and I have never looked in my kit for 14. I use a gauge with a flexible hose and keep one on my Spyder.

No contortionist

You are absolutely correct on that rear tire valve. the present location is ridiculous! I was able to get my air compressor onto it but you have to almost be a contortionist???????????? tougher time was getting the air tester on the valve...
BIG F

...and a pot bellied 67 year old man is no contortionist!!! ;)

contortionist

Yes the rear tire valve is "poorly" placed but it really isnt too bad---if your a 67 year old ex-gymnast.It's been over 45 years years since I've been on the rings or pommel horse but I still can " contort".
