• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tips and suggestions

In my book, comfort and safety are the most important. For comfort I have Seal Floorboards ( of course), Utopia backrest, a third rear light, and a Spyderpops radiator guard. The other stuff is fun and individualizes my Silver Seal.

Ride in comfort,

The most important accessory is gas, with out it there an't no point.

After that you have a blank canvas and can take it in any direction your heart desires. Depends on what you prefer, lights there are plenty of option from Tricled to brighten up your spyder. There are comfort mods like seats, floorboard, baker airwings even stiffer suspension and Vinyl wraps to morph your spyder. The only limit is your imagination and budget, one is normally bigger than the other.

Best place to start is looking through the spyder mods section to get some ideas.

have fun and enjoy the new spyder.

:agree:. Welcome and ENJOY!

Most important (and expensive) mod...

Beautiful woman to ride in back. Used to keep warm and as a backrest on long trips...

Any suggestions on things I should take for a long ride. Also does anyone recommend any web site for mapping out your ride and planning gas stops and hotels?

:welcome:As you can see, you will get a lot of sound advice from the Spyder Web... Congrats on your new ryde!! We have added a few mods, Corbin Seat and Back Rest, really helps with the comfort factor, and GloRyder lights makes Spydee more visible at night. As for mapping out at place to ryde, we just usually go and where we end up, is where we are. Sorry, not much help there.

Enjoy the Ryde!!

I'm wanting to get a new seat. Any suggestions?

Scott

What is your old seat doing that you would want a new one? New seats are expensive. Especially Corbins, the Cadillac of seats. If you can, try a few less expensive tactics. I bought the AirHawk2 from Amazon and its great! Some people resort to memory gel pads, etc. I used the Bead Rider before the AirHawk and it the desert, that air going under your tush can be... refreshing. I plan to get the Utopia backrest too. Some times little things can overcome major discomfort.

Welcome to our little corner of the internet!! :2thumbs:
Be careful:  Farkleosis is a disease with no practical known cure!
Death seems to end it once the final packages have been delivered by FEDEX, UPS or the USPS...
How that death occurs varies; it often is from a spouse or significant other who discouvers just how much money has been spent buying all of the absolute necessities that you've added to the bike without telling them... :yikes:
Bankruptcy is also known to slow; but not stop, its progress!

You Bought WHAT!!!! Mr. Godsey????
