• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

tint in the BRP badges on 2015 RT-L

Odd question. Just over a month ago my wife & I purchased a 2015 RT-limited in intense pearl red. It never really occurred to me until someone else noticed it, but the BRP badges on the trunk and the frunk are tinged in red. It doesn't seem to be a protective covering or anything of the sort. I went to the dealership and they didn't have another Limited in stock to compare it to. Is this a feature on the Limited, or something to ask to have corrected?:duh:

red badge

Doesn't it mean that yours is the prototype that never needs servicing? :roflblack:
I recall decades ago someone got hold of a Holden car which had blue paint on the bolts - it got amazing mileage and just kept going and going...

I hope that I don't sound too stupid
Are you SURE that it's just not a refection off of that great red paint? :dontknow:

Well I really don't know how to respond to the question but I have a 2015 RTS in intense pearl red and mine don't look red. I think you got a custom BRP badge and that you have a one of a kind badge :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:. Get out and ride that bike.

FEATURE ?!?? Sounds like a defect to me, better take it back to where you got it.

OK, that's about what I thought, but it does seem uniform on both badges so I figured better to ask. Maybe it makes the bike corner better somehow.:joke:

Back to the service department!

Went back to the dealer today. They agreed. I hadn't even noticed that the decals on the side bags were also tinted red. Looks like trim was applied before the paint cured.

Why would you want to have them replaced if the tint is barely noticeable. I would keep those emblems... it is unique to YOUR bike.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Here's a pic. Sorry for taking so long to post it. Dealer is replacing the badges, chrome piece on the rear trunk and the side bag decals. All of which show what appears to be a bleed through or overspray of the paint. The chrome piece appears to be flaking off the plastichrome. All warranty agreed to by BRP.
