Best of luck trying to get your pictures. Hopefully your generosity will pay off some too, and Tami may just win one of the Harleys.
You didn't happen to find out who the other Spyder owner was did you?
Keep having a good time, and ryde safe with all those others around.
Tami called and told me to put all on one Harley that would fit her. Unfortunately, we never made it to Pier Park and after waiting for Sam for about 4 hours I called him at around 10 pm. and said, now both his sons were tired, he wanted to spend the night with them, since they are going home to Birmingham Ala. in the morning. He said they are still talking about the ryde on the Spyder and will for a long time and both thanked me for the thrill. They wanted to go for a ryde on it the 1st time they saw it and now both Ryan and Dylan want one of their own. I told Sam to tell them to start saving now and he laughed.
I decided to go out by myself and figured since I was out, I might as well head to Walmart and get new guts for my toilet. It was crazy out there with guys racing and thousands bikes around. Thank gawd for earplugs cause it was loud and I can see a lot these guys having hearing problems in the future.
Before leaving I saw Tami's car in the driveway and told her we never made it to Pier Park to get the raffles. I gave her her money back, with extra from me and she had a good day working a double and will just add to it and her chances. This way she gets to pickout the Harley she wants to try to win.
The Parking lot was so jammed with bikes and people, that I don't know who owned the Yellow Spyder. I've seen a yellow one around here and heard from people that live near this guy, that he has a one like mine but it's yellow. I could only guess that it was him. The people I've talked to in store parking lots say he lives off of N.Lagoon, which is on the other side from me. One day, I'm sure to run into him and will tell him about this site.
Checking the map, I'm the only one listed for PCB. As for having a good time? I'm having a blast and many of the people I have talked to have been great. I've been getting a lot of questions from older and younger ryders and I tell them, that many who have two wheelers also, enjoy riding their Spyder's more and their two wheeler's are collecting dust in there garages. One demo ryde and your hooked.
On the way home, I was behind this girl on a Harley trike and at every bump and dip in the road, I saw her rear end not hers :roflblack: but the bikes, shimmy and one of the rear wheels come off the road. A truck passed me on the right and looking there was no one else, so went by her and either her husband or b/f on a Honda Gold Wing, towing a trailer.
It looked rally loose to me and I was hoping they didn't have far to go. I pulled into Sam's condo and saw the ryders I guided to Newbies and to the condos. They were leaving Sunday and said they really had a great time and will be back. They said everyone was so great, that the memories they have along with the pictures they took will last for a longtime. They also said the weather wasn't that bad even with the wind and Sat and it's going to be hard to leave.
I told them the night I got off the plane for my first visit here, I knew I would be living here. They said they understood completely. The time here went by so fast and to think on Monday we wil be getting up to go to work.:gaah: I said what an awful thought! But, we will be telling our friends of all the great people we met and hopefully while planning our next trip to Thunder Beach, more of our friends will come along with us. I told them a picture is worth a 1000 words and let them do the talking for you.
Ron, who asked me if I knew how to get to Ms. Newbies from here? Said they aren't going to believe that place and by the way! Carol, took pictures of you and your Spyder, when we were following you and more in the parking lot, when you were answering all those questions.
I told Ron that answering questions about the Spyder is common among all that own one and many have to add in time to answer the questions wherever they go. The ads help but, it's the ryder that really knows what's under them and why they decided to buy one.
Me? I just went to look and the next thing I knew, I was signing the papers. After 32 years of being on the outside looking in, ryding never got out of my system. I have no regrets doing what I did, that mid Mar. day. Sure I'm a poorer but for me as soon as I saw one I had to buy it
It's too bad you can't go to them all.
Maybe one year you will!
