Throttlemeister & 3"risers

I am hoping to get the 3" NMN risers since I already have the 1" risers, but do not find them much help. Also want to get the Throttlemeister but will it work with the NMN 3" risers? Anything in particular I need to know ahead of time.

The Throttlemeister has nothing to do with the risers. It is merely a device that inserts in the end of the handlebars, where the plastic plugs are on the stock grips. Just like bar-end weights. The NMN riser bars are hollow, to accept the plug or Throttlemeister.

Toni, that is the set up I have, 1" BRP NMN 3" and a Throttlemeister (heavy) and I absolutely love it all. As Scotty mentioned the risers have nothing to do with the Throttlemeister so there are no issues what so ever. Enjoy your ride and your mods.

Throttlemeister & 3 " riser

Hate to keep asking questions, but doe the 3" NMN risers also bring the bars(grips)closer to you. In other words, they are 3" higher & also pulled back some too?

Toni, no problem with the questions. We all started somewhere and that is what this forum is for. That is part of greatest thing about the NMN risers. You can adjust them forward or back to your personal preference. I have mine pulled back so my handlbars are closer to me and I know one person who has his pushed even more forward, as he likes that position. Just get a good idea of where you want them before you tighten them up all the way.

Throttlmeister & 3" risers

That sounds good. Thanks for the reply.

I see that Kuri also has a throttle lock same as the TM. Which TM fits the Spyder and what is the diff between the heavy or standard?

How do you set the TM while you are riding. Is it a two handed operation? One hand holding the throttle and the other to turn the TM to set it?

nmn suggested to me a 25 degree angle so the left controles are in factory position if you go too far back (which i did) the clutch lever is too high and the directional switch it too low .... but with the 25 degree angle my girl took it all day yesterday and said it was great and she is 5'4" she could sit straight up and all the way back ,,,,:coffee:

You can set the TM before you ride, if you don't mind the constant friction, and are accustomed to turning the throttle off forcefully every time. It merely adds tension, it does not lock the throttle. You can also set it while riding, with one hand. It turns on in the direction of adding throttle, and off in the direction of getting out of the throttle. If you slide your hand a bit off the grip, and grab the TM with your pinkie, it will come on or off as you twist the throttle. You may have to practice letting your hand slip on the grip a little, or take a few adjustments, to get it all the way on...about a quarter turn. As an alternative, you can wait until you are off the throttle for a second, and just slide your right hand outward to adjust it. It sounds complicated, but is actually quite natural and easy. I think there is a video on the Throttlemeister site that shows it in action.

:2thumbs:Thanks, Scotty,

Between you and Lamont, there's not much (if anything) you can't learn.

The NMN bars are not hollow. The bar stock is solid T6061.

However we have had the ends milled out far enough to work with these throttle units as we had people ask for this in the design long ago.

Many people use the risers and the Throttle Meister together. I did a few installs of risers in Daytona with Throttle Meisters and had no issues at all.

I meant to say that the ends were hollowed out. Sorry to mislead anybody.
