• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Throttle Lock????? I need help

I purchased a universal Vista throttle lock for 7/8" bars. My questions are:
1. Can I measure and cut the black spacer on the left of switch housing to fit the bar clamp around the bar?
2. Do I cut the stock grip rubber flange ( the left end of grip) off so the grip inserts into the collar/slip ring?
If anyone has done this, please share the proper procedures for a not so sure do it your selfer.
Thank you :2thumbs:

I thought the Universal Vista Cruise was different than the one ataDude (and myself) used. I'm just saying that because the install procedure would be different. If I'm thinking correctly, the Universal one has the bar that goes across the controls to a clamp that is mounted on the left side of the controls. I know some Spyder owners had that style of throttle lock and it worked well and was easy to install. I do know that you can cut off the trim piece that is on the left side of the controls, it's just a plastic spacer, for looks.

Wish Vaughn was here as he installed a VistaCruise on the RS a couple of weeks ago . . . . it was easy & we love it.
