throttle getting stuck

I just noticed that with the bike idling, with the handlebars toward the extreme left, when I blip the throttle it seems to get stuck and the idle stays up. When it does this and I move the bars toward centerline, the idle goes down. Can someone tell me which cable I need to follow from the throttle on the handle bar?

This doesn't happen with the handle bars straight or to the right. I do have 4" risers and may need more slack.

I just checked the service manual. It may be that I need to adjust the throttle return. Does anyone know which way to turn the adjuster to take up the slack?

You most likely have a zip tie stilled on the throttle cable. Most of the time when installing rises you have to cut the zip ties to give the cables the slack it need to turn left. This is common. If all zip ties are cut. Re- rout the throttle cable. The 2 cables you need to follow go from the throttle across in between the handle bars and gages down to the left side and make a 180* turn into the throttle body.
