• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know what the Stock Throttle Cable Lengths are on a 2008 Can-Am Spyder SE5? The throttle takes two cables, I'm thinking one is for a return or something but at any rate, I just need to know the length if anybodies knows.. Thank you in advance for any help you maybe able to provide.. Ride Safe.

The Maintenance Manual doesn't state a length for the throttle cables. Just that one is longer than the other. And yes, one is a return.

Does Cowtown have any spare cables in the parts department you can measure?

As a last resort, if nobody comes up with the actual numbers, is take some cord and trace the path the cable takes with it. Measure the amount of cord used and you will have a pretty good idea of the cable length.

Hope this helps...

Good question and I knew someone would ask,, Lets just say for now I'm working on a project, if it all pan's out I'll be sure to let ya all know.. Questionable at this time...

YAZZ: Yah I talked to Cowtown and they don't have any cables however they are doing a bit of research to find out... As for the measuring with cord, Girl thats a GREAT idea, never thought of that,, if I don't get a answer today that is exactly what I'm gonna do, wow, thanks for the idea...

YAZZ it worked PERFECT.. Managed to take off a couple panels and trace the cable as Yazz noted.. Just for the record the cable lengths are 31 3/4.. Safe to order 32 inch cables if anyone is interested in the future.. Thanks for the heads up Yazz..
