There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No I just converted to a trike. I have the fell since I had a "sled" in Vermont. But it was 2 up no backrest except for my wife. So I want to get the full feel. I
When I drive 2 or 3 wheels, I get 1 with my bike. So I like to feel whay is going on. Eventually, I turn on the radio and cruise. That's just me.

I appreciate all of the private messages regarding the seat comparisons. Yes, it was a pricey way of finding out up front, I knew it wouldn't be too difficult to resell "as new" seats. So, it isn't that pricey, other than time and probably a few hundred bucks.
With that said, I've decided to convert my BRP Comfort to a Russell Day Long. I'll review that process and what it turns out to be.
I'm not too worried about ruining it because I can keep my front-to-back position, and they offer adjustments for fit afterwards.
So... I'll sell my seats after that.. Probably a couple of months from now....

I had the good intention of converting my Comfort seat to a RDL, but life has generated too many responsibilities. I'm going to wait on the conversion, if I ever do it.
The Comfort seat is working OK for me, and my two new seats sit in my garage. Someone should be using them.
Rather than discussing a purchase on this thread, I will make the posts in the For Sale section of the Forums.
The morale of the story:
Each seat puts you on a machine that is gives you a spectacular experience. However, comfort is absolutely critical for this to occur. If you're using a seat that is uncomfortable, get a new one. If you don't like it, get another or get a custom fit.

New at this BRP Seat
I am actually new at this Can Am Spyder F3-S. I just got my first motorcycle on December 1, 2016. Here are my questions:
1) When you mentioned the BRP seat do you mean the cannonball seat?
2) If I do get the cannonball seat, should I get the BRP backrest?
3) Where can I go to buy these for a good price besides at the BRP shop?
If you must know I am 5'5 at 157 to 162 pounds (My weight varies each day). I rode it, and it doesn't seemed to bother me. Though I feel like when I put power on it, I feel like I will fall of my bike...sorry like I said I am new at this. :bowdown:

Sold the Ultimate Tall Boy seat. It is a phenomenal seat, but in my opinion NOT great for any legroom. My friend in CT is going to enjoy this, I know. Great deal for him.
Still have the Corbin. Put it on last week to see if I could make it work. It, too, is not as good as the BRP Comfort seat for someone that is a bit taller. Plus, I need to make a correction: the Corbin does have a prop, it just doesn't use the stock gas prop. It is a roller type prop that is built into the seat. I missed it the first time I used the seat.
So, if someone is interested in a lightly used Corbin (in the previous pictures) contact me.

I'm thinking the same thing about not needing a back rest. I'm at 17K miles now, and have not "needed" it. When I tested out the other seats, I tried with and without. I always liked without.

THAT's THE TICKET
The combination of the BRP Comfort Seat and the Utopia Backrest is the perfect combination for tall riders, IMHO - especially tall riders with a "bigger than average" butt. There's only one thing you can do to make it even better... Put one of Motorcycle Dave's Comformax GEL-Foam inserts inside the Comfort Seat. That's what I did, and I can now ride all day in comfort for a small fraction of the price I would have paid for a custom seat that may not even feel as good.

I can't quite make out what you are measuring. It looks like the height of the front of the saddle, but that wouldn't make sense since you're comparing the seats for the amount of legroom they provide, I think?

The measurements are from the front of the saddles (at the glove box) to where "I" begin. It was just a way of showing how much more the BRP Comfort seat really let's you go back. The others do not. The Ultimate Tall Boy was absolutely the most restricting.
