• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It'd take a bullet through my brain pan, and a couple of guys to strap my lifeless corpse to that thing to get me down THAT hill... :yikes:

Theres a ski resort called Catamount in NY that had a simular ride. It was a "I" beam running down the mountain. The cart slid over the I beam so it couldnt fall off the track. You were belted in, and in theory you couldnt fall off the sled or rail. The sled had a brake that was activated by pulling the lever toward you, and theres was no way I could go down that hill with out instinctively pulling back on that brake. I tired many times...

I dont think the ride is there any more, and I liked it alot better then another one in the area at Jiminy Peak. Theres was a rounded concrete slide like a half circle, with banked corners, but you COULD fling yourself and your sled off of the slide. If you were unlucky, you fell off but your sled didnt and continued down the slide. You had a long walk down the mountain when that happened. I only rode that a few times, and it scared the crap out of me....
