• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This Week-end in the North East!

I think that all of the sleet sort of beat the snow down quite a bit...
3" of snow, and 14 hours of sleet.
It took us about an hour and a half to get things cleaned up around here.

I decide to sno-blow at 1:30 am ( fell asleep watching TV :lecturef_smilie: so I wasn't ready to go down for the night -yet ) …..there was at least 6-7 inches on the ground ( still snowing lightly ) and NO WIND, so I fired Her up ……. @ 2:30 I was just about done and I noticed ( after turning off the machine ) the snow that hit me( a Frogg Toggs top ) could be heard ( tiny pellets ) it was still very light ….. So I don't think we were going to get much if any sleet or rain …. Got up at 9;30am ….. and the snow was pretty DRY …. and another 3 in. had fallen so I'll make a 7 ft. path and go SKIING :yes:..... god luck …. Mike :ohyea:

Got some rain last night but now it snow---- For the next 3 days:yikes:. When this storm goes east---- you guys are really in for it. THe ski resort above me, 11 miles and 2,500 feet, has gotten over 300 inches of snow this year.

Snow is also being reported in Maui on Haleakaleia (the highest place on the Island). A very rare event for Maui. Winds up to 191 mph and waves up to 60 feet.

The weather is crazy all over. :dontknow:

Yes the weather is crazy all over, I wonder what spring/summer will be like here in the northeast. Time will tell.

Been getting waves of rainstorms here which I guess turns to snow a few days later for the rest of you

2.5"of rain in two days is A LOT for the desert of Nevada. As this " Pineapple Express " heads east --- watch out:yikes:

Some of the snow berms I've created are also pretty tall ( over head ) ---- I'll have to get creative as to where I can throw it as it's going to keep snowing here for a while. Squaw Valley is about to break it's Feb record for snow fall and Mt. Rose has had 330" ( thats 27.5 FEET:yikes:) so far this winter, just 20 minutes up the road from me. AND I've ordered snow blower repair parts in anticipation.
