• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This should get people talking

I like the look of the front but hate the look of the rear. Maybe that will change when I see one in person. :doorag:

How old is that picture? The reason I ask is because they don't road test the products...everything is computer-generated and track tested...privately...

NOBODY will see the new bike until September...so BRP says...

Looks like it was taken from a moving car using a camcorder with a progressive scan image sensor... top gets scanned first, bottom last, as the camera's moving to the left... everything tips to the left. Look at the wheels.

This was taken in April for a promo video.
 
Can-Am like everyother other company has units they street test before they release units for sale.

Where anybody got this "track only testing" and "computer based testing" idea from is not right. :dontknow:

The spyder was "seen" on public roads long before it was even mentioned it would be for sale. There are quite a few of these spy photos that prove just that. :thumbup:

I only debate when I am sure of things and I am sure they roadtest on public roads. I'm not going to get into the specifics of how its done , but I was one of the first riders of the spyder prototypes in late 2006. And the test fleet had machines in excess of 10,000 miles that were pretty well used. Not to mention the spy pics from Northern Canada from mid 2006. There is NO WAY they release a product without ALOT of real world road miles.

Not to mention that they indeed can intentionally leak photos such as these to determine reaction and garnish feedback, if however limited on the impending design. We do it all the time at our company.

I can tell you for sure these were not intentionally leaked but now that we know what's in store for us down the road I think we can see a new direction for the Spyder. :thumbup: I'm sure that BRP had no idea that so many of us would be riding this thing cross country or putting 20K+ in a years time. I think this is a better solution for those who want a safe trike to tour the country on. :doorag:

I think it would be great if they kept our Spyder, a Touring Spyder and a sport version with more hp and a programmable nanny so if we wanted we could switch it on and off. Maybe do the key thing where depending what key you used you could have a race mode or a street mode. I know I would love to do a little drifting on the track. :doorag:

Interesting...was told differently from 2 people at 2 separate times...

So be it...Lamont says pic is from a month ago...I guess what we are looking at is some early version of what will be released in September...
