What I like about the Spyder in the pic shown is how the front spoiler/trunk area goes higher before starting the hood back - this looks better IMO, would make the trunk larger and send more air to the radiator instead of straight up the hood to our helmets.....will be interesting to see if these are prototypes or if the Glamis boys are just really good modders...

How old is that picture? The reason I ask is because they don't road test the products...everything is computer-generated and track tested...privately...

I only debate when I am sure of things and I am sure they roadtest on public roads. I'm not going to get into the specifics of how its done , but I was one of the first riders of the spyder prototypes in late 2006. And the test fleet had machines in excess of 10,000 miles that were pretty well used. Not to mention the spy pics from Northern Canada from mid 2006. There is NO WAY they release a product without ALOT of real world road miles.
Not to mention that they indeed can intentionally leak photos such as these to determine reaction and garnish feedback, if however limited on the impending design. We do it all the time at our company.
Can-Am like everyother other company has units they street test before they release units for sale.
Where anybody got this "track only testing" and "computer based testing" idea from is not right. :dontknow:
The spyder was "seen" on public roads long before it was even mentioned it would be for sale. There are quite a few of these spy photos that prove just that. :thumbup:

I can tell you for sure these were not intentionally leaked but now that we know what's in store for us down the road I think we can see a new direction for the Spyder. :thumbup: I'm sure that BRP had no idea that so many of us would be riding this thing cross country or putting 20K+ in a years time. I think this is a better solution for those who want a safe trike to tour the country on. :doorag:
I think it would be great if they kept our Spyder, a Touring Spyder and a sport version with more hp and a programmable nanny so if we wanted we could switch it on and off. Maybe do the key thing where depending what key you used you could have a race mode or a street mode. I know I would love to do a little drifting on the track. :doorag:
