• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This is going to be interesting

I say just remove the wings, and trailer it!
Otherwise; park it along the runway, and make it into a Kiddie Park! ;)
Take the cost out of the paycheck of the nitwit who forgot to read the map...

Let's see..!!

empty it and add some tow plane to pull it into the air like one big :cus: glider..:roflblack: This is a good place for those shovel ready jobs..extend the runway they will need it now that it is known they can land there...:roflblack: Really...in this day and age..give the crew a garmin...:roflblack:

stuck

they just said on the news that boeing is sending a new flight crew with short take off experience to get the plane off the ground. but i do like the amusement park idea

JATOs are a boot in the a$$ when you're not ready for them :yikes:

RATO is the correct term, but everybody says JATO.

Kind of makes you wonder just what they were thinking. :roflblack::roflblack:

Will they be looking for a new job Monday or earlier?

I thought I saw something about them (not original crew)getting it up. Stripped everything they could, minimum crew and fuel. I would guess a little prayer as well.
Wonder if this effected the pilots chances of promotion??????????
Computor error ????
Oldmanzues
Two airplanes at wrong place. I saw a C-17 had landed at thre wrong place on a mil website. Then they had gotten that off.
I saw on the National news that one the oversized super cargo jets had done the same thing. Acording to the news, the pilots did not know where they were. They had programed the plane to land on auto pilot and nobody borthered to look and see where they were.
Then more Avation News. The Chamber of comerce in WA state wants the feds to increase the size of the airport, so Boeing can built their new big airplance there. One little problem with the flyer, it shows a a Airbus, Boeings rival.

Yep. Showed on National news this evening. They towed it to the very end of the runway and hauled a$$. Didn't even suck the gear up since they landed 9 miles away at McConnell AFB. Where they were supposed to be in the first place.

So much drama. As they did exactly what I told the wife they would do last nite after seeing it on the news. Push it back to the end of the runway overun, minimal fuel load. Then, nothing but the 2 dummies in it that caused the whole mess. Company CEO waiting for them at McConnel with pink slips was the rest of my corrective action....
