• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This Is A Special Day For Us!

It was eleven years ago today, that Kathy received her kidney transplant.
She has actually experienced virtually no problems, and I know that we've been given a very special gift...

Hi Bob,

Re: Kathy received her kidney transplant.

Good for her. When Oregon came out with the donor program, I immediately when to the DMV and had my Driver's License changed to DONOR.

IMO if you are not willing to be on a donor list, then you should be able to receive an organ donation.

End of rant,

Jerry Baumchen

PS) I hope that she makes it at least another 11-teen years.

Bob, that's fantastic. You've both been given a special gift.

Here's to the next 11 yrs...

Just curious, but do you know the particulars of the donor?

Congratulations to Kathy for her success and to you Bob. My 1st wife couldn't get a transplant and passed away as a result of complications from kidney failure. I know some of what you went thru trying to get that transplant. I am so glad that it has worked out so well for the both of you but especially for Kathy to be free of dialysis.:clap::clap:

Thanks for asking this question...
When we found out that her kidneys were only functioning at 8% , her best friend said that she was going to get tested...
The match was almost perfect! She is on a very small dosage of immunosuppressants, that she has to take twice daily...
She spoke with her donor this afternoon, and they shared this day as they always do: with some tears of love!

I honestly don't know how this happened, but I have to be the luckiest sonuvabitch on the Planet!
