• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Third Brake Light

Got tired of that useless square black thing with the license plate light and reflector and made it USEFUL! I just wonder why it wasn't like this to begin with.

You'll need to get a multi-LED bulb to go in there. The vibration will break the smaller (running light) filament. Check eBay for bulbs. I bought the housing at Kragen for $12. The bulb was $8.

Good job! I haven't too many pet peeves about the Spyder, but this has been one from the start. It cost them more to make that complicated little license plate light than it would have to add a regular brake/taillight lens there. We added Hyperlights to ours, just for the visibility.

So did you leave this as just a running light, or did you add the wiring for a brake light?

Also provides a reasonable alternative to those who have lost the lens because the screw came loose. They have had to buy complete, replacement assemblies because the lens isn't available separately.

Yes, and if you're near a place like a truckstop, the options are endless for replacement of that part. I had several options just at the auto parts store.
