• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thinking of purchasing... got a few questions

I wouldn't let anyone test drive my bike either. I would do what he is doing, take someone for a ride to show the bike is in good working order.

Well I went and saw it on Saturday and the thing practically looks brand new with the exception of some decals that I would need to pull off.... The seller is waiting to get the title as it he just paid it off AND moved from NC to SC, so it sounds like the title is in some sort of limbo at the moment.

One thing I discovered is that he was incorrect in his listing... it's an ST SE5...not an ST-S SE5, so I'm not sure if the price is still as good as it sounded at $13.5K

So you won't have footboards or cruise. Those would be deal breakers for me. I know you can change a few pieces on the right controls to get the cruise activated and you can get footboards... but why mess with it. You got the money in hand, keep looking IMHO

I must agree with Arctic. The thing that worries me most is the title.

Geico!

Thanks everyone for all of the replies!

I've check with my state (SC) and you don't need an M endorsement to drive a trike here. It seems strange to me that State Farm is telling me that they will eventually require me to get one to keep the policy on it.

I've read a few things around here about air intakes or something along those lines that should be changed out on these 2013 STs. At least I swear I saw something about that... how would I know if this has been done, and if it hasn't is this a recall thing that I could have a dealer perform at no charge?

I just bought an f3 and checked around a lot and Geico beat all the other companies fairly easily even with all the "multi" discounts. Saved me a bunch and they do A LOT of motorcycles and already had experience with these and said nothing about the license.

Seller waiting to get the title....RED FLAG, RED FLAG, RED FLAG. I would not exchange any money until the title is in hand. The mislabel of the model number is also RED FLAG, RED FLAG, RED FLAG.

Yeah I don't think I'm gonna go with that one. I'm considering a brand new 2014 RSS that I found at a dealership about 3 hours from me... 14.7K out the door... I'll have to pay my sales tax here though since its out of state but sales tax caps at 300 here in SC
