• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The worth of a 2008GS SM5?

First off, I'm not trying to sell it here. Secondly, I'm not asking because I want to purchase a Ryker. Thirdly, I don't want the hassle of selling it myself.

I purchased my 2008 new in Jan 2009. It has under 36,000 miles, and I have all maintenance records, and no major issues. What can I expect if using it as a trade in for a new auto/jeep?

That's a tough question and it probably depends on so many different variables. Here in southern Ohio the dealers are probably going to upset you by offering nothing or next to nothing. I believe a Spyder is a vehicle that needs to be traded for another Spyder or sold outright to someone who really wants your bike. Of course I can only speak for my area and it may be different in other areas. We have chosen to buy and enjoy a rather unique vehicle and that alone may work against us when we decide to part with it. I'm sorry that this response is the same as no response, but as I said, tough question.

You can look at the NADA values for it. If you're taking it to a car dealership it's hard to tell you what they will offer. I wouldn't expect much over 5-6 thousand though.

There was an ad on SL for exactly the same. It was down to $6K for a couple months. Not sure if he sold it at that price either.

With the price drops across the board in the last couple days--I am thinking $5K may be in the works.

It is NOT a sellers market currently. Remember Bob and the 10th Anniversary?

If I were to sell currently--I am thinking $12K for the 2014, and $10K if I am lucky on the 2011. Both with 30-32K miles and in really good shape.

I paid $5000 for my 2009 RS SE5 in October of 2016. I purchased it from a dealer, had 23,000 miles when I bought it.
