• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Un-Farkle.....

A minor point that has bugged me from time to time on the 13 and 14 bikes is the windshield bracket. All the trim on my bike is either black or chrome yet here is this windshield bracket painted the grey trim color of the older bikes. It looked out of place and was very noticeable from the front of the bike. A rainy Sunday resulted in me doing something about it....

I like it. Louise wants me to leave hers grey. Kinda makes the bracket disappear into the dash with only the windshield and the chrome wings visible.

What do you folks think?

Jt....what color did you paint it? Can't tell from the pics. I know some have painted theirs black and I'm prob going to do that to mine.

I pulled mine off and powder coated it black then painted the arms that hold it a flat black. The gray bugged me.

Mine is in pieces right now waiting for the handlebars and bracket to be powder coated black. My husband's is all chromed but the handlebars in particular are just too reflective. Of course, then because everything is off he is eyeing other things to add/change. I will be patient since this was my idea but now the weather is getting nicer, patience is wearing thin.

I was wondering about painting mine with black plasti dip, or what ever it is that people have been painting large areas of vehicles with lately. Any thoughts?

This word; "Un-farkle", has me unsettled... :yikes:

Could we just say something like,"De-Graying"? :D

I don't want this confused with hair color for men......:coffee:

I used Rustoleum Satin Black, mostly because I already had a can in the garage. Its a pretty close match to the handlebars.

Now THAT might be a topic of great interest in here! :D
Except for me... :opps:
Mine didn't turn gray; it turned tail, and RAN! nojoke
