• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The spyder wave

I've noticed I get less waves on the Spyder than any of the 2 wheelers I've ridden. Some bikers seem confused sometimes as they go by. We might need to give a waiver to the waver.

Last Mothers' Day I took my 80 yr old mother for her first Spyder ride. She noticed that I was waving at motorcyclists as they passed us and they waved back. While she was having a great time, she was still afraid to take her hands off the passenger handle bars but wanted to wave so instead I hear a loud Yahoo coming from the back seat. I just laughed and kept riding. I knew she was having the time of her life.

Waves

Very f/punny!!:roflblack:

That's the first thing I noticed when I got my Spyder. I think a lot of folks think it's some kind of ATV or homebuilt. I have always waved whether the other goofball does or not. I enjoy the ones who just look. I still ride with the HOGS a lot and use my Spyder every time. At lunch one of the guys asked my just the other day "how come you're still a HOG if you ride a Spyder?" Told him I still have an unused Road Glide in the garage because I can't sell it. It's in great shape, and only 37,000 miles, but no one seems to want an 88 cu in engine anymore. They are all hot over the 103s and 110s. He seemed to think that was ok, not that I really cared what he thought!! That's the only negative or slightly negative thing anyone has brought up.

Wave and wave back or at least give a "Yahoo" like Bob's mother did - that was cool.:firstplace:

Tuck

I remember as a teenager riding the roads of Virginia that the standard wave looked like a right turn signal with a clasped fist. Glad we don't do that one anymore!

I nod my head "Only!"
What if Bambi pops out in front of me while I have only one hand on the wheel?
:yikes:
I also don,t ride with my left fist glued to my left thigh like a lot of Cool (No Helmet) Harley guys Dooo?:hun:

wall wavers

..they just come out of the wall if a spyder is on the street - have seen it

Wait a minute. Unless you have that cigarette hanging from your lips, like I saw the other day, you're not Kool.

Thumb up.....

I'm thinking a thumb up, left hand, is most appropriate of all and in all occassions and all bikes..If you see a thumb up, you're seeing a happy spyder ryder!......:bowdown:smoky
