For those of you who haven't seen them - the old growth trees are 1500 to 2000 years old - and tower hundreds of feet into the air.

You won't find anything like these anywhere else. Even if you can't come to Spyders in the Redwoods, this is an area worth the effort to visit.
On our way down, we will traverse Highway 199, which runs through Jedediah Smith Redwoods SP - (IMHO) the most magnificent and least developed stand of old growth redwoods.
I think Spydergirl and the California crowd did a super job in choosing this venue. This is a terrific place to ride, and far from the overpopulated crush that most attribute to California. Soon to be a past event…
