• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The rear passenger switch

Is anyone familiar with how the passenger switch affects the behavior of the VSS?

There are two choices:

The extra weight on the rear helps oversteer and it gives you more yaw rate latitude

Or the center of gravity goes up and it pulls back on the reins

If it is one a override switch in the cockpit would give some control of the VSS

As far as I know its function is to change the braking bias for the DBS (Distributed Braking System). That is what they used to advertise. Not sure if it has any other functions. Even then, the effects seem to be minimal...or non-existent.

Mm so maybe a brake bias switch then
That was my understanding, but it could have other functions, like affecting the amount or threshold of traction control. As I said, the effect seems to be minimal...but maybe I have just not pushed the limits. Remember that the VSS consists of several separate functions, all controlled by the VCM (Vehicle Control Module). Those include the SCS (Stabilty Control System), TCS (Traction Control System), ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), and DBS (Distributed Braking System). Who knows exactly how the whole thing was programmed. It is sufficient to me to know it works.

If you want to try with the passenger switch triggered, just unscrew it from the seat and wrap some tape or a rubber band around it.
