• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Perfect Spyder

Spyder enthusiasts,
I have learned a lot from this site and continue to watch for new information. I post very little but read a lot. I appreciate those that take the time to answer the questions and post their insight. I am new to the spyder world in general. 14 months ago the wife and I bought our first spyder. A new 2014 white RTL with all the bells and whistles including the RT 622 trailer, BRP helmets and riding gear. We had the dealer install more accessories such as a CB, Dongle and so on. After 14 months and over 12,000 miles I think that this machine is the perfect spyder for us. We use the machine almost daily for just about anything and often we ride for the just the simple enjoyment with nowhere to go but just ride. I did have to have the dealer replace the DESS module and the rear shock airbag developed a hole in it from a piece of gravel. My dealer support has been outstanding, from the sale to the service. Tammy and Ryan at Motosports. I have owned over 100 motorcycles in my lifetime and have never got the total enjoyment out of them like I do my spyder. All things mechanical sooner or later are going to have glitches. I have the extended warranty on my spyder and that helps with future peace of mind. I worked for a motorcycle dealership for years and I understand that motorcycles are not perfect machines forever, but I plan on getting the most out of it and will continue to be an ambassador for the Can Am Spyder. Life is to short not to enjoy it every chance you get. The wife and I are enjoying our spyder. I will continue the read and learn from the veterans of the spyder lovers world and hope that one day I will be able to contribute to this site to help keep it strong for future spyder riders. Thank you, Roy

Well said Roy.

I too at 9200 miles since March, am very happy. We tend to post all the things that go wrong with machines that sit too much. I like the mods and all the good stuff. Well done, Roy.

Well done Roy! It's true the things you say about this great machine, I have owned many bikes in 46yrs of riding and I think this is the BEST!
