• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The .... NEW ... Quatrac tire

We did a 76 mile ride yesterday, MRS.T.P. said the front Q's were fantastic, Hope to get the rear mounted before the ride to DW3
(2020F3 L 3578 miles on the OEM stuff)

This may be a re-placement for the Q-5 ( Michelin did the same with the Hydro , into the Defender and then that into the Defender T&H ) .... So I went to the company Web-site .... they don't list it!!!! .... I sent them an E-mail ... I will post when I hear from them .... Mike .... I also learned that Vulcan tire is the oldest distributor for this brand ....

As of today Vulcan Tire still does not sell the new Q. The rear gets installed Wednesday, New fronts performed great on the DW3 ride out and back.

well this tire is very new to the market ..... Tire Rack has them .... Mike

I put mine on my F3 yesterday. No riding impressions yet, but they took 2oz each to balance. These were put on to replace the stock tires which simply would not balance. One of the stock tires was over 125 thousandths (1/8”) out of round.

I just put on a full set of the new Quatrac tires two weeks ago. Used Centramatics beads for balancing. Don't forget to remove existing balancing weights that are on the rims. The traction is outstanding on curves. I'm running them at 18psi front and 22 rear.

2 oz. EACH :yikes: ..... I hope the installer placed the colored Dots in the correct spots ..... Mike

Well I put a coupla forty miles on them. Dead smooth up to 80, no vibrations. Since the vibration is why I replaced the old tires I consider it a success. As for traction, I was able to lift a front tire at will, or get the back to step out with the stockers. If these have more traction, then good for me. My wife's ryker, sure. I can throw that into a corner hard enough to break both front tires loose and push through the turn, but I've never been traction limited on the spyder.

Interesting ...... I know others here have reported their Q-5's used very little or no weights ..... thanks ....Mike

I just installed this tire on my wife's f3 wheel. As reported no dots. No tire shop would touch doing it stating their tire machine would not handle the raised center hub, and of course the local CanAm dealership would not do it as I didn't purchase the tire from them, so I changed it myself. Next step is using my Mac P balancer. Will see how much it takes.

Interesting about not being able to do it because of the " raised center hub " ..... folks here have reported that they've had the new stile " fixed hub " done at Walmart & Discount tire without any issues about the " hub " ..... glad to hear you were able to " DIY " it yourself ....Mike
