Last year I saw a pretty bad fight over this very subject.. While at bike week in MB a guy sat on another guys M109 and the guy who owned the bike was nicer than me and asked him to get off nicely but the other guy wanted to be a jerk and the M109 owner beat him pretty bad.

It was kinda funny because the owner was maybe 5'10'' 200lbs and the other guy was 6'3 280but he was no match by a long shot.. They broke up the fight but I bet he will never sit on someone's bike again.. The ironic part was he owned a bike and should have know better.. OH WELL he got what he deserved in MHO...

Those M109R owners are an unruly lot. Something must be done about the,- all of them.

... I really have issue with the rude people that do these things, i guess we can chalk it up to ignorance. Everybody that has ridden for any time knows you don't just climb up on someone elses ride. I'm more than happy enough to let someone sit that asks first, maybe i'm just "old-fashioned". :doorag:

On the plus side, I was delighted with the several Spyder ryders from Americade to Valcourt last weekend who politely asked to sit on my silver #2929, just to try out the highway pegs or see the view with th F1 shield.

When Phillippe (the BRP engineer who was ryding one of the red Spyders) asked to sit aboard and try the h'way pegs, I said, "Of course!" but what I meant to say was, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? A BRP engineer wants to check out MY simple mod that I learned about on spyderlovers.com?!! I'm honored, I'm not worthy--besides, what if this becomes and option in the next incarnation of the Spyder just cause this fellow was politely doing his quiet design research and I said "of course?!?!" :bigthumbsup:

I can see total strangers who don't ride who get totally intrigued but most bikers know that rule. I've seen people stick their kids on bikes to take pics of them. nobody has ever sat on my harley but who knows w/ the :spyder: - it is pretty :doorag:. I would ask first though!

Unfortunatley inconsiderate people will take liberties without thinking of the consequences or even realizing that its's someone else property. We'll probably read some day of a road rage incident when the owner is not as nice as the people in this forum.

Had a guy sitting on my Ryde a few days ago; walked up, asked him where his car was, when he asked me why, I told him I was going to go sit in it and play with all it's goodies, and for some reason HE got pissed!

Retread...that is an SUPER comeback. I like it, I want to use it when (notice I didn't say IF) I get someone like that sitting on my Ryde
