• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I like the style of this blower...

And the background music, keeps up well with the turning timing...

Talk about high heat, and then into the annealing oven to bake.

From "Colorado Glass" ;-)

Appears to be some sort of legal herb smoking implement.

Just a guess of course. But it has that look.

Glass Lathe?

I have turned some fine pieces from various types of hard wood. But I never imagined that medical glass blowing was done while spinning, when very near liquid form.
I wonder if the paddle prevents the melting glass from flying off.

Glass is a liquid. It is not a solid. Heating glass just lowers the viscosity.
I know, I'm a nerd since I know that. Yes, I do some glass work.

Great video . . . amazing what can be done with the right tools. The end would have been better, I think, if they'd shown the finished product . . .

Put on your Imagineers cap

Glad you enjoyed that, as did I. The last scene when it's placed in the oven, pretty much showed the final art piece.
Anyway, I think it would take away from the mystique of the glass artifact, knowing up front, what we can only now imagine.

It's just more fun this way.

That was a lot of hot work, sped up for times interest.

Taking a break, don't work with glass. ;-)

He must be kidding. Hahaha
