Now that I have your attention....:roflblack:
I recently purchased the BajaRon Sway Bar and Heim Links. I finally got the opportunity to install them earlier today. Night and Day!!!! The difference was noticeable the moment I took to the streets after the install. If you have ever owned one of those toy race tracks with the magnetic rails on it, then you know what I'm talking about. Our RT hugs the corners like crazy. Firm, yet responsive. And boy, is it ever fun!!!!!!!!
A little about the install. All the directions were pretty much straight forward. I DID run into a little problem trying to get to the upper nut and bolt for the Heim Links. I resorted to removing the plastic splashguards on the A-Arms. Smooth sailing after that. Other than that little hiccup, everything went well. All-in-all, the total time spent on this upgrade was a little over an hour and twenty minutes. Mind you, I am what is known as a backyard mechanic and there are a lot of things I still have to learn about working on my own ryde. That being said, I am confident this project can be accomplished by anybody with a socket set, combination wrenches, and a good understanding of technical drawings (fundamental pictures) and simple instructions.
For those of you on the fence about purchasing the BajaRon Sway Bar, TAKE THE PLUNGE!!!! If you are hesitant, even in the slightest, in your own abilities to pull off the installation, take a look at some of the online DIY videos on here. If you live close to a fellow Spyder Ryder, give them a call. I'm sure they will reach out to you with assistance. If you live close to me...Wait a minute!! I'm getting ahead of myself!!!!
Bottom Line Up Front, this is one upgrade you can't go without. If you want more control of your "three-wheeled toy-of-joy", this is the upgrade you can't do without. My wife has already mapped out a 480 mile round trip for us for this weekend. Did I mention, she is positively tickled pink with the upgrade? She even thinks the red Heim links are "sexy". I didn't have the heart to tell her once I install them, she will never see them again. And I thought I was her...NEVER MIND!!!!!
At any rate, BajaRon has a new spokesperson for the Sway Bar (like he really needed one). Love the difference. Proud of my install abilities. Time for a celebratory drink!!! Think I'll crack open that bottle of Cognac!!!! Cheers!
