• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Now that I have your attention....:roflblack:

I recently purchased the BajaRon Sway Bar and Heim Links. I finally got the opportunity to install them earlier today. Night and Day!!!! The difference was noticeable the moment I took to the streets after the install. If you have ever owned one of those toy race tracks with the magnetic rails on it, then you know what I'm talking about. Our RT hugs the corners like crazy. Firm, yet responsive. And boy, is it ever fun!!!!!!!!
A little about the install. All the directions were pretty much straight forward. I DID run into a little problem trying to get to the upper nut and bolt for the Heim Links. I resorted to removing the plastic splashguards on the A-Arms. Smooth sailing after that. Other than that little hiccup, everything went well. All-in-all, the total time spent on this upgrade was a little over an hour and twenty minutes. Mind you, I am what is known as a backyard mechanic and there are a lot of things I still have to learn about working on my own ryde. That being said, I am confident this project can be accomplished by anybody with a socket set, combination wrenches, and a good understanding of technical drawings (fundamental pictures) and simple instructions.
For those of you on the fence about purchasing the BajaRon Sway Bar, TAKE THE PLUNGE!!!! If you are hesitant, even in the slightest, in your own abilities to pull off the installation, take a look at some of the online DIY videos on here. If you live close to a fellow Spyder Ryder, give them a call. I'm sure they will reach out to you with assistance. If you live close to me...Wait a minute!! I'm getting ahead of myself!!!!
Bottom Line Up Front, this is one upgrade you can't go without. If you want more control of your "three-wheeled toy-of-joy", this is the upgrade you can't do without. My wife has already mapped out a 480 mile round trip for us for this weekend. Did I mention, she is positively tickled pink with the upgrade? She even thinks the red Heim links are "sexy". I didn't have the heart to tell her once I install them, she will never see them again. And I thought I was her...NEVER MIND!!!!!
At any rate, BajaRon has a new spokesperson for the Sway Bar (like he really needed one). Love the difference. Proud of my install abilities. Time for a celebratory drink!!! Think I'll crack open that bottle of Cognac!!!! Cheers!

Congratulations..!!

On a job well done and the results we have seen many times. If you haven't met the the nanny you may very well meet her soon. Now go out and enjoy your new handling roadster...!! :2thumbs::ohyea:

did mine last weekend and now that I've seen the factory links I wish I had bought the Ron links. I'll be getting those and doing next weekend. A little bit of rework but seriously, who the hell puts plastic on a significant stress point that can have such a horrific effect when failing???

+1 for Baja Ron. Ordering my links Monday.

Original Link Failed

Awhile back, one of the original Heim Links failed and broke in half. Even though the dealer replaced both of them, I kept telling myself that is just a matter of time before one or both of them failed again. I procrastinated for a while before I finally said it was about time to take the plunge. Like I said in the original post, make sure you remove the plastic splashguard thingy on the lower A-arm. That way, you are able to get to the upper nut and bolt on the Heim Link. Really glad I took the leap on getting both of these products. The difference is phenomenal. Heading out for a good little ride. See ya' soon.

NOPE!!!

If you think it's fun now, just wait til you drive it with your clothes OFF!!:yes::yes:

I think I better keep my clothes. I don't want to scare the children!!:yikes: Our local Police Department has no sense of humor, either!!!! But thanks for the visual!:roflblack::roflblack:

My Sway Bar & Heim Links are being installed on 7/1, just in time for a trip on 7/5. Having the laser alignment done at the same time. Can't wait to feel the results.

I have to agree

The bike is going to feel so much better under you, that you're going to SWEAR you got on the wrong bike! :2thumbs:

:agree:Just got back from our round-about. The RT handled better than I though. My wife loved the change....even though she can't see the "sexy" red Heim Links!!!! :roflblack::roflblack:

John, I had the same experience . . . my ride home from a friend's, who put them on for me (thanks, again, and again, Pete!) was awesome. Buffeting from semi's on the highway and from crosswinds was significantly reduced, and I have to admit that I searched out some twisties on the way home and hit them a lot harder than I normally do . . . even had the rear tire sliding sideways on a couple, and my Spyder handled beautifully. My Baja Ron Sway Bar is one of the best farkles I've added!:firstplace:

A BajaRon anti-sway bar is a great addition and will get you intimate with Nanny in a hurry. :yikes::yikes::yes::yes::clap::clap:
