Thanks Randy, I checked out Home Depot site and found a combo frig/freezer that only weighs 71 lbs. and considering the size 4 1/2 cu.ft. I was impressed........you ROCK.....Spyderfest here we come :yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:...Mike
No problem Mike, anything you need for your homeade trailer I should be able to help or point you in the right direction. Make sure you keep track of your amps for these appliances your installing and remember to factor a coffee pot into the total. Camping without morning coffee sucks !!!!!!!
I have mine wired with a RV 30 amp plug but I have adapters for 220 volt/50 amps and also household 120volt plug. I'm able to run everything without a problem this way (coffe pot, TV, fridge, fan (or electric heater), overhead lights, HW heater and still have enough to charge my electronics. The only time I see the lights dim slightly is when my heater kicks on. I have my HW tank, fridge, lights and wall outlets all on seperate breakers so I have the option of killing seperate things if my amp draw becomes to much.
I put a 12 gallon HW tank in mine because I didn't want to run out of HW doing dishes and I drilled a hole in the floor and ran a washer hose out the bottom of the trailer from the built in boiler drain to empty it before leaving the campground to reduce trailer weight. I just drain it on the ground.
You should try to bid on this HW tank on ebay. I know its only 6 gallons, but space will be limited so your probably better off with this type. These are about 130.00 at home depot so if you can get it cheaper on ebay, go for it.

Even though I installed my water pipes with Copper, I recommend you install them with pex tubing and always have a pitch down to drain the system. Put boiler drains at the lowest point on the incoming line under the trailer because you will need to drain the system during winter months. Very Very important not to have water laying in your pipes !!!!!
You will need to know a little bit about everything (engineering, design, carpentry, plumbing and electric) to pull off a homeade trailer build, but I have faith in you.
