• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

and I didn't even notice!

Apparently Kansas had a 4.8 earthquake yesterday afternoon, centered about 150 miles from here. My brother and nephew noticed their chairs shaking at home, but I was in a store and never noticed a thing!

You get different effects from "shakers" depending on where you are. A solidly built supermarket is going to mask a lot of the effect. At home--you probably would have felt 4.8.

Thankfully, most come and go pretty fast--just a few seconds to notice.

Glad to hear no damage or problems.

My cousin in Wichita (about 30 miles from the epicenter) said someone's basketball hoop stand fell over. There was some building damage closer to the center.

When I lived in the St. Louis area there was a 3.8 quake in southern Illinois while I was at home in my living room. I heard what sounded like the crack of a rifle shot down the street and then my windows rattled for about 10 minutes. It was weird.
