• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My wife and I were leaving Wal-mart today when a woman started asking me questions about the Spyder. And then all of a sudden there it was, that one stupid question that just leaves you thinking... What the hell? "Is that thing legal to drive on the road?" No, I trailered it up here to drive around the Wal-mart parking lot... here's your sign.

oh i have heard that one many many times.
sometimes while i am sitting at a light next to the them...

I get that question too. Once I was at a rest stop on the Interstate when a person ask me if the Spyder was street legal. I wonder if that person thought maybe I flew in like a bird. I do have a license plate on the rear.

the best one I have had is after telling me that it was great I was going green and I asked what he was talkin about he said "because you are riding one of those hybrids, where do you plug it in?"

I have also been ask many time about it being legal but the the best one so far is can you do a wheelie and another one I get is can you do a endo.

Yup, I've been asked the street legal question before too. I get asked the wheelie question a lot. I look at them with a very straight face and tell them, only in reverse. Then I really get the looks.

another dumbest questioin

Had a lady ask me the other day if the front wheels turned!

Started to say no, when I need to turn a corner I have to stop - get off - lift the back end up - point the Spyder in the direction I want to go then get on and go.

But I didn't...

Had the police pull me over one time to see if the spyder was street legal,I told him yes but he had to check for himself.:ohyea:

I have had this question and what they meant was - does the Spyder turn with the rear wheel like a forklift truck. I said "no because the turning arc would be too large". This seemed to make sense to them.

I was at the bank and was asked if I rented it? I said no! I bought it. The guy says he's the only one area that rents them and didn't see his sticker on it............Here's your sign!:roflblack:

If I were to rent a :spyder: from this guy and moved his sticker to Big Wheel and took that back to him, Do you think he could tell the difference?:roflblack:

I was asked if it was diesel. Because I had to wait for the glow plugs to heat up when I turned the key on and did not instantly start it up. Funny thing is I was at the gas pump. The diesel pump is one the other side of the station.....Here's your sign!:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

While gassing up this guy comes up to me .and ask me if that's an electric scooter:hun: I told him it WAS electric, but the clock runs on gasoline that's why I'm putting gas the tank :yikes:

LOL I got asked by a woman and her BF if it could go off road and how cool it would be to go "mudding" with it.(SMALL town in S.GA.):gaah:

So now I am looking for a 24" lift kit and some Super Swamper tires.:roflblack:

I get asked if I'm going to put the skis back on in the winter... :yikes:

One guy actually asked me if it could get up to 35 miles per hour. I told him the speedometer goes to 200 and he looked shocked, shook his head and replied "that's too fast".

A cop asked me how fast I had ridden it. I told him, in my best law abiding manner, 70. He smiled and said "good answer", so I said "well, I was in a residential area". nojoke Good thing he had a good sense of humor! :D

I get asked.Did you make that?

that one is the best in my current state, I say yep, just jumped out of my wheelchair and busted it out this weekend, I just put the can am stickers on cause they were sitting in my magic toolbox in fantasy land.

this response is only to *******s that are telling their buddies that they KNOW not company makes them.
