• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The dumbest Spyder question yet.

Will It Go Backwards?

Today, on my way home from our meet and greet in South Florida, I stopped for gas and a coke. When I returned to my Spyder an elderly gentleman was standing looking at the bike scratching his head. I said good morning and mounted the bike. He says "Does this thing go backwards?" I responded, "Yes sir, it has a reverse gear." I then put the bike in gear and proceeded to back up. He then said, "No, not like that! Can you turn around and ride it backwards so that big wheel will be in front like its supposed to be?" I just laughed and rode off. I had no answer for that one.

Had a lady walk up to me at a gas station while my hubby was fueling up, and said she and her husband have a Harley Trike. She said if we wanted to really enjoy riding we could get a trike. I said we do enjoy our trike, and she informed me, "That is NOT a trike...a trike has three wheels!" :hun: I had to look, thought one of ours had fallen off...I was dumbfounded, she walked away...

Kit bike

Had a guy ask me where I bought the kit to build the Spyder. He wanted to know if I was using a Harley to start the build.
I told him I started with a VW bug.

Who Makes That?

With the BRP medallion on the nose, the top box lid; the words "Can Am," and 'Spyder RT' on the sides, I'm sipping a 'Dew at a rest stop and a guy pauses to ask, "Who makes that?"

A: "Well, it started out as a "Hoveround," and I've been workin' on it for a while."
