There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks, Deb and Big Arm! I am finding the Spyder is much more than just a vehicle, it is a way to reach out and make friends with a much larger community of like-minded enthusiasts. I found the same thing to a certain extent with my Kawasaki Concours, but this is even more so with the Spyder, maybe because it is so new and different, and has created so much excitement across the continent.:yes:
Deb, you must be getting pumped about the Big Trip to L.A. I wish I was going too. Make sure you take lots of pics and videos. I will live vicariously through your experiences.

I was happy when I read that you'd completed the Marathon successfully. I remember when you were getting ready to travel to it. But somehow I missed your report afterwards.
I think it's cool that you have "bucket list" and running a Marathon was one it, and YOU DID IT!!!! Congrats on the good run!!!

Good job, Bruce... both on the write-up and the race! Whether you take on the challenge for health, as a result of mid-life crises, or for whatever reason, it doesn't matter, nothing but good things happen. I just returned from a 2200 mile road trip on my spyder (from Tucson to Steamboat Springs, CO) to run the Steamboat Marathon. It was my 3rd marathon, all done this year and I'm 58. Keep running!:thumbup:
Thanks, dryheat. Three marathons in one year? Wow, I am impressed! I am still running and plan to do the Detroit half marathon in October. I would like to do another full marathon next year.

Debbie and I did the 5K event years ago. I was still in shape from playing basketball and she was getting in shape. If you do come, we'll be spectators only, cheering you on at the finish line.
