I remember that dazed look well. Before the first Spyders had landed, I had discovered them online and showed them to Nancy. She immediately demanded a road trip to see them. We were looking over a pre-production demo unit at the dealership. She was talking to the salesman as I looked at the accessories. All of a sudden I heard her say "Who do I make the check out to?" She looked over to see my open mouth, big eyes, and dazed look. I hardly remember watching her put down the deposit on her PE after that. It is well worth the shock! :welcome:

I understand how you feel...kind of!

When my husband wanted me to ride one with him, I was not interested because my mind was on other major things right then. I rode on the back and couldn't get off soon enough. :yikes: He told all his friends and our relatives he was gonna buy one if he worked the fires that year. BIG year for fires and I was not happy when he still wanted one...he didn't make enough to buy even one...so rather than fight it (did for 1 1/2 years),:banghead: I decided I might as well join him. The look on his face was startling :clap:when I said to go ahead and buy one with one stipulation - that we buy TWO :spyder2:'s so I could have my own. I was not gonna ride on the back any more...(did in the 80's with our street bike) because it is TOO boring and I've wanted my own bike since then. We called dealer after dealer and got a real run around because Frank wanted white ones. We finally went with the closest dealer, Redding Yamaha (CA), and have enjoyed working with them. They were able to find TWO RS's after two weeks. Love the reverse, and the fact I don't have to hold them up. Have added bigger windshields, handlebar risers, cruise. We now have over 2500 miles on them and are planning on going to SPYDER FEST. :doorag:Our sons have mixed emotions on our 2nd childhood. :sour: Will be over 5200 miles for us round-a-bout. Can't wait.

By the way GREAT choice in dealer..Len is the best and there are a lot of reallllly good ones out there. :yes: Figure as close as you are that will get to meet you at Spyderfest in few weeks. :thumbup:
