• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Dangers of Lurking on Spyderlovers....

First you lurk...then you register...and the next thing you know you're on the phone with Len at Pitbull Powersports asking him to find you a red RT :spyder2:.

Not dangerous you say? What about the fact that we've never ridden a :spyder2: or a motercycle?

We'll see some of you Friday at the Grand Opening...we'll be the ones with the dazed look on our faces.

:yikes:

You will be VERY glad you did. Welcome!
Don't see how I can get there but it is a great time and a SUPER WAY TO START OUT.

A good kind of dangerous though!

I guess it can be dangerous but you'll be glad it happened to you. Welcome to the forum and chime in anytime you need to ask something or give your opinion on any of the various and many subjects that come up daily. There is a lot to learn here with many experienced riders and even some engineers that are glad to help however they can. Again:welcome:!!!!!!

Also you have one of the very best dealers in the country at Pitbull Powersports!!

I hear ya talking, I owned a bike years ago ( before the wife) who is deathly afraid of motorcycles after much talking and a test ride SHE was sold leading to my purchase last weekend of a 2012 RT-S SE5 and WE love it Good Luck and Enjoy

I remember that dazed look well. Before the first Spyders had landed, I had discovered them online and showed them to Nancy. She immediately demanded a road trip to see them. We were looking over a pre-production demo unit at the dealership. She was talking to the salesman as I looked at the accessories. All of a sudden I heard her say "Who do I make the check out to?" She looked over to see my open mouth, big eyes, and dazed look. I hardly remember watching her put down the deposit on her PE after that. It is well worth the shock! :welcome:

Lurking...but absorbing..!!

That will teach you but :welcome: and :congrats: we know you will both enjoy the heck out of it..

I started lurking about 6 months ago. That was exactly one bike trade and $$$ ago! Who knew??

Welcome Muleman1 !

Glad you're joining in..... and you couldn't have picked a better dealer. I'll be looking for that "Dazed Look" this weekend. :yikes:

I understand how you feel...kind of!

When my husband wanted me to ride one with him, I was not interested because my mind was on other major things right then. I rode on the back and couldn't get off soon enough. :yikes: He told all his friends and our relatives he was gonna buy one if he worked the fires that year. BIG year for fires and I was not happy when he still wanted one...he didn't make enough to buy even one...so rather than fight it (did for 1 1/2 years),:banghead: I decided I might as well join him. The look on his face was startling :clap:when I said to go ahead and buy one with one stipulation - that we buy TWO :spyder2:'s so I could have my own. I was not gonna ride on the back any more...(did in the 80's with our street bike) because it is TOO boring and I've wanted my own bike since then. We called dealer after dealer and got a real run around because Frank wanted white ones. We finally went with the closest dealer, Redding Yamaha (CA), and have enjoyed working with them. They were able to find TWO RS's after two weeks. Love the reverse, and the fact I don't have to hold them up. Have added bigger windshields, handlebar risers, cruise. We now have over 2500 miles on them and are planning on going to SPYDER FEST. :doorag:Our sons have mixed emotions on our 2nd childhood. :sour: Will be over 5200 miles for us round-a-bout. Can't wait. ;)

Yep that's a sure sign

You've been bitten by the :spyder2: addiction. welcome welcome...let the good times roll for miles and miles. By the way GREAT choice in dealer..Len is the best and there are a lot of reallllly good ones out there. Figure as close as you are that will get to meet you at Spyderfest in few weeks.
