There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. The Answer To Your Quest For The Perfect Cup Holder

Lime Greem...hum

Well that lime green button got to me also, so I just finished painting the RT the same color so my $12 cup holder doesn't look out of place...lol...not.

They are cheap enough that if you screw it up painting it you can just buy another one LOL.
I don't mind the color too much but that lime green button.....sheeesh.

My RT cup holder from RV Camping world for $6.00

Today I met and rode with Spyderryder. He has a beautiful black Premium, the first RT sold in Las Vegas in fact. I was struggling with my cup holder and my wife was missing hers, so my friend told me to take a look at his. I was totally amazed and told him he was a "genius". He replied that he was just an Amazon.com shopper. This cup holder is made of tough plastic, gently clamps on with very sturdy clamps that are plastic with soft rubber inside to protect the byke and can be mounted anywhere on both the back and front of the byke. I had to get one. He told me to go to Amazon.Com and look at "Brica" in the Baby Section ! It is a cup holder made for strollers and it costs just $12 :hun:

It looks outstanding, pops right on and off with no messing around with placement, etc. that a lot of us have struggled with. He is a genius !

Here is the link : http://www.amazon.com/Brica-64009-D...ZG5Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1335658775&sr=8-2

Try one...I just ordered three :ohyea: Paint it, beat it or write it bad checks, but you have to get one ! Below is a picture of the "Perfect Cupholder":

I'm sure the plastic paint will do, but there is a product called Duracoat that people use to paint their composite frames on firearms that is really durable, may be a more permanent solution. Unfortunately, its somewhat pricey for a cheap cupholder. But hey, we own Spyders, EVERYTHING is expensive!!!

cup holders

Thanks!:yikes: I just ordered two cup holders and a phone holder from Amazon. I seen other nice ones but they don't swivel like these do. Can't wait to try them out. :banghead:

Looks Good !

Thanks for the pics ! Great job and love how it looks on your Spyder. What kind of prep work, if any, and what kind of paint did you use ? I'll have to add some flames to mine or a carbon fiber look ! Love your gas cap ! Where and how in the world did you get and do that....absolutely AWESOME !!!

After using my cup holder with the lime green button I have to report 100% satisfied.
It held a smoothie from Smoothie King with no problem and they are a bit on the heavy side.
Best $11.99 I could have spent on this upgrade. Got the phone holder too, but have tried it, not used it yet. Seems like it would work fine.

Bought one, tried it, gave it to my son to use on his Super T - I went back to my trusty RAM mount holder, which still is the best for me.

Thanks for the info!

I had just been wishing the other day that I had some sort of drink holder on my bike.

After reading the posts here, I found that it can be ordered from Amazon.ca as well as the regular Amazon site. So I was going to do that, but first I thought I'd check out the Toys r Us option.

We have a little "mini" Toys r Us store in our local mall, and I didn't hold out great hopes for finding the cup holder, but I thought I'd just run in there and check, and lo and behold - they actually had them there! $12.99 later.... it works great.

You guys rock!

I wonder if the clamp on phone holder could be used from my Zumo 660 on the dash? Does the clamp allow the phone/zumo to clamp on horizontally? Concerned the Zumo might be too heavy...........hummm. What do ya'll think?

I use the RAM MOUNT (less than $30) & its even reccomended from Garmin, why risk this

I have NO Experience with the phone holder in discussion, but are you really willing to risk a $600+ nav system to find out???

I did not do any prep work although I probably should have sanded the gloss off the knob.
The key is multicoats of light painting so as not to get drip marks.
I did take the cup holder completely apart which was very simple to do.
I used Kylon Fusion White Spray paint. The lettering is just simple stick on's
It did a great job.

The gas door is part of the "Ultimate" seat that was sold at Spyderfest.
I have just returned from a 500 mile run and hope to post my review on the seat at a later date.

Phones come in various sizs. I have a Samsung Android G-4. It's bigger than an iPhone. Is this bracket adjustable?

My phone is the Motorola Razr and it too is wider than the iphone. I think any of the larger screen phones are a bit of a tight squeeze but it can fit. I even had the holder in my hand and gave it a few hard (really hard) shakes (over my bed so as not to have disaster) and it held firm in the holder. No reason for me not to trust that it would stay on the dash.
