• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The 4th is almost here. Whats your favorite 4th/patriotic song?

IMO..........The most under rated "MODERN DAY" emotional patriotic song of all time attached. Too bad one political statement ruined this bands carrier. Loved the music of the Dixie Chicks !!!!!

There has never been a time when the nation was more united than during WWII the songs from that time period all show how proud and united a nation we were.
We were also looked up to in most of the free world
No I am not that old but we have slipped as a nation
I would like to see us that united again
OK am off my soap box
Don

Given the current environment...

I agree the most un-American "American" should be edited out..... when I think of someone patriotic, thats the last image I'm thinking of....

Think were running out of entries anyway. Might as well make it a little more "interesting"

There are couple of pic's I have issues with. Overall that song has more meaning to me than any other Nam era song I have heard. Brings back a lot of memories I don't ever want to forget, especially some of the terrible ones.

Remember those of all wars, Camping on the old campground from a long ago war. "One way ticket over here" is the one of the most sad to me.

I'm not a country music fan at all, but that song has patriotism written all over it.........
