• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That was a close one!

Spyder worth every penny. He didn't see me as he was turning into me, wtf...
If I were on two wheels, I would have kissed the pavement. I was able to brake and turn staying up. This brought a new confidence level to ryding the spyder, I've only had it since June.

Had one today myself

Riding south on US17 in Brunswick. Guy comes up the ramp from my right, cuts off an F150 and myself in one fell swoop across three lanes. Turns out he was trying to get across to make an illegal U-turn. Got to activate the ABS as I watched the slow motion version of him missing my frunk by all of 12 inches. Guy in the F150 looked out his window at the next light and mentioned "Nice Save"

Twenty years ago he would have been given the opportunity to kick my ass.

A loss for words.

All the young man could say was, "you were in my blind spot". He never used his signals or turned his head before he turned in on me. Is in my blind spot the new defense for bad driving? You can't argue with people like this, it's pointless.

Glad everything came out all right and you were not injured. It's always the fault of the person who got run into. :yikes::yikes: That's why we carry insurance I guess.

When I hit the dog about three weeks ago, the :spyder2: sustained $2,500 plus in damages...and maybe a little more before its all put together. I did not sustain any injuries. Sadly, the pooch died from the 50 mph impact.

Must have been a BIG dog

Came up on an intersection in Westport Ct. Three lanes, one left turn, one straight ahead, one right turn. There was a car in the right turn lane, but he was looking straight ahead. When the light turned green, instead of turning right he plowed forward straight ahead. I buried the throttle and he missed me by about maybe 10 inches. I'm sure that if he had hit me he would have said "I didn't see him". Never mind that he was so focused on himself that he ignored that he was in a right turn only lane. It pays to keep your eyes open and never assume that folks in cars are actually going to obey traffic laws. Here in Westport, they are in a world of their own, and that world is only theirs. So keep your eyes open & watch the cagers around you. You never know what they are going to do that may ruin your day.

Glad everyone made it OK! I've had a bunch over the last two years....................most common denominator? Phone in ear, mouth in gear, brain in neutral!
