Of all the forums (sites) I belong to , this one probably has more veterans than any due to the machine. Please go get a “free” breakfast, coffee, donut, “free” lunch and awesome dinner at a one of the many places that offer it for you. It’s “free” because of you! Thankyou for your service!

There is no such thing as a free lunch. I will be going to a service at the veterans cemetery to recognize all the veterans who have passed on in the last year.

It isn't because of those of us who are here. It's because of those of us who aren't.

I spent 29 years in service to the Crown, in part to help assure that my children need never face war. I’m retired and our world is forgetting. I am afraid for my children.

The world is forgetting , but I remember. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month I will stand in silence, alongside those who currently serve my Battalion, at the Sergeant’s Memorial on Queen’s Road St. John’s NL CA

I will stand in Remembrance of those who made the Ultimate Sacrifice, in Memory of those who completed their service and have since passed from among us, in Gratitude for those who have completed their service who still stand among us, and in Support of those who still serve.

I invite you to stand with me to help remind the world of the cost. Lest we forget…

Also not a veteran, but have lived in foriegn countries without our freedoms. Thank you for preserving ours. And this is a day to be thankful, for it was the end of WWI.
