• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just wanted to say a big thanks to all the posters on this forum. I have been reading on the forum for about a year now and thought I would do a quick introduction. I'm located in New Brunswick, Canada, 35 years old and rode motorcycles since age 15.

I began researching into getting a Spyder last Winter as I was looking for something that I could enjoy as well as my wife, who is not comfortable on the back of a bike (childhood scare). This forum really has been a wealth of knowledge in the initial decision to buy and tips for riding/ownership.

I ended up purchasing a 2012 RS for a very reasonable price with about 7000kms (4350miles) on it.

(It does have a passenger backrest, it wasn't on in this picture)

We put about 3000 miles on it this past Summer/Fall. I have really enjoyed it and my wife has been thrilled!

With the boredom of Winter in full swing I've purchased some new rims and got in contact with Pete from wrapmyspyder.com to add some carbon fiber graphics.

That's about it. I'll likely add some pics when I get the decals and rims put on to show the before and after.

Happy Riding!
Robert
