There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Texas Spyder Riders

I agree with the keep it simple gathering. Pick a place, motel, what most want to do, No vendors, no hassles. Lets get together and enjoy the riding and meeting other riders. It does not need to be a big pain in the butt to do this. KISS!!!!!! Fredericksburg would be a great place to have a gathering. It has motels and everything else we want. Great area to ride, I ride there all the time, there are great small roads that are beautiful to ride.

I will help put together a Texas Ride-in....I agree someone needs to have a meeting in a central location...I opt for F'burg's....to me it is fun to stay at hotel that is walking distance to town....evening walk and eat and a couple of adult beverages....at the end of town there is Super 8, Sunday House, Hampton Inn...all about 2 or 3 blocks from town.....

:yes:Luchenbach or Mason or Llano or Marble Falls or Blanco or Garner State Park!:joke: I'm shooting for the memorial day deal in Houston, but still trying to decide if I'm brave enough for Houston Memorial Day Weekend Traffic! :popcorn:We'd make them vendors come from FAR away! if they would...:2excited::chill::bbq::chat::trike:

From Austin....work your way down to HWY 36 south take 1462 to Alvin 35 to County Road 129....about 3 miles and you are at my house....for more info pm me

Seems like we have a lot of ryders in this state and could make it a big success. Agree that if this is to become a reality then a planning committee needs to be formed to start looking into places to hold the event and what all would be involved. Could probably get some very good pointers from Len or others in the MO gang- at least to learn from their mistakes! I'll help if needed!

There will be a bunch of people who would be attending the Texas Ride-in at my BBQ over Memorial weekend...do we want to have an informal meeting of where and what we want to accomplish during the ride-in...perhaps if not attending BBQ and want to be apart...we could call on cell phone...on speaker and have a sort of conference call....just to let everyone know...my husband...Mark and I have been having partys for 16 +++years for our Valkyrie friends with 150+++ people...we have some experience here...we learned from our mistakes....still learning....what do ya think? a informal meeting at the BBQ?

I think you all should just show up at the owners event in Maggie Valley in June!!!!! That would allow you to get out of the hot Texas weather for awhile and enjoy some beautiful country....

I moved from Texas to North Carolina about 4 years ago. Miss Texas, but not the heat!!!!!!

I think we all need to attend the Memorial Day BBQ and use it as a meeting to talk about
what we need to do to gets this going :chat:

Sounds good. There will be a lot ofpeople there and we can toss ideas around.

Will be waiting for your plans and dates. I winter in Tx and will do my best to attend if its not in mid summer. Done that once. I agree with most that Fredericksburg would be a great location and March would be a great time frame. My 2 cents.

Texas Rally

It's a great idea. Look at how the Lone Star Rally blossomed until the greedy city cannibalized it. I will offer help where & when. Just let me know.

Texas Spyder Riders

It's not central, but flamingobabe is hosting a BBQ over Memorial Day Weekend just south of Houston. Search for her post for details.

memorial day rides

we had a great time this year 44 spyders attending and 3 2 wheelers 76 at the BBQ Charline and Mark are superb hosts and definitely know how to put on a great time

I am in... name the date. Fredicksburg is awesome. Would need to take a side trip through Gruene as well. This would be a great fall event.

Also, next spring, we should organize a ride end of March through Ennis and travel the Bluebonnet trail. Route could also vary from year to year. Bluebonnets from a Spyder... Should be great.
