• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After lusting after the Spyders i finally decided to buy one...a new black RTS. Love it! If I had known how much fun they were, I would've done it much sooner! Now that i have it, I'm already trying to decide what to add next. Comm system, GPS, XM radio, etc., etc.

Looking forward to some fun rides with this thing!

Hey Mattman congrats on your new Ryde! Finally got some great ryding weather here in the DFW area after that hot summer. If you are interested in ryding with other Spyders, give us a look at our website for Spyder Ryders Of North Texas. We have 21 members now from all over DFW and are doing regular rydes. Would love to have you in the group.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Who knew that the purchase of a Spyder would not only give me a new toy to have fun with but would also reveal a huge community of cool folks to communicate and ryde with!

Hey Mattman....I know what you mean when you say "If I had known how much fun they (Spyders) were...I would of done it sooner"..I feel the same way....I first learned about the Spyder...like 6 months before they hit the dealers...you had to order one....I kept going back and forth and about 2 and a 1/2 years later.I finally pulled the plug....I love my Spyder......have fun be safe...ps...if you want a CB...check out Clay's CB in Weatherford....make an appointment......I drove from Houston to Weatherford to have Clay install my CB...he is a professional......lookin' forward to riding with you......

:welcome: :congrats: on the new ryde. Recommend you ryde the :spyder2: a bit before adding accessories--that way, you can figure out what you like, don't like, and then go from there.

Meeting locals can also help a lot with your questions.
