• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Testing out my new 360 Camera on a short Spyder Ride

Very cool....

Funny thing was I did not know I had to move the picture around and was thinking to tell you to turn the camera around to see where you were going...:roflblack: then when checking time left I noticed my finger moved the picture... great getting so much view...

:banghead: I thought the same... "Great picture/resolution, but I sure wish I was seeing more than you right hand and off to the side." Learned I was able to control the direction of the camera by mistake. Footage was much more pleasant during the second viewing. :roflblack:

A little off topic but could you please give some details on the addition at the top of the windshield.

Thanks

Is it just my device/viewing, or was the resolution not quite good enough to read the Licence Plates on the passing/overtaken vehicles?? :dontknow:

And no matter how I tried, the footage in the vid just wouldn't show me what it was mounted on?! :p I would very much like to see a pic of that if you have/can get one, altho atm, my plan is to mount a similar camera on a 2ish foot tall pole mounted just behind the pillion's right shoulder on my 2013 RT.

Ok now fess up with what kind of camera and how it's set up. Please. That is so cool. Although I had to use chrome to get it to move.

I HAVE a camera similar to that one.
This might encourage me to actually USE mine now.
A picture of where and how you mounted it would be useful to a LOT of us, I bet.

And the direction of viewing can be controlled with the "cursor" control circle in the upper left corner while the video is playing.

I had several questions about this post.

1. Windshield extender is called the x-creen tour. Fits F3 and F3T because I had and F3 and traded it for the F3T. Cheap mod. Many F3 owners have them.

2. Camera Mount: Used the ion camera bike mount 5013 but you need the base and that's hard to find by itself without buying the little cheap ion camera. I still use my little ion camera for regular rides. Video does not lie and videos from my little ion camera got me big bucks from an insurance case (video of that I also posted here). Screenshot of mount below . Insurance claim video can be found here. Doesn't look like much but caused almost 2k in damages https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9qHRkg0kqo

3. 360 Camera. There are many 360 cameras out there. I chose the 360 Camera, Xiaomi Mijia Mi because it was a little cheaper and it was one of the few that you can charge while you are recording. I use the 360 camera for special recording. Recording 360 and getting your recording converted so that YouTube will recognize it as a 360 recording takes some doing.

4. Phone mount. Use a simple popsocket mount. Cheap, easy, assailable, secure. Looks like its part of the bike. I use a little rubber wedge in the gas cap to angle the phone towards me. Screen shot below.

Thanks for replying.
But those pictures are too CLOSE to be useful, to me at least.
Any chance of some more with a bit wider view ?
